2nd Annual Matt Doten Memorial Jam October, 2024
2nd annual "Matt Doten Memorial Jam" at the Calais Skatepark. Brought to you by the Brendan Leddy Memorial Fund. This is a free event for all ages, experience levels, and action sports.
All action sports jam - Skateboarding, scootering, bmx, and rollerblading - Prizes for the winners! Free to enter.
Giveaways and prizes for riders and spectators.
Free youth skate lessons and concessions by donation.
Interested in trying? There will be skateboards, a scooter, and a BMX bike to use for FREE. Helmets and pads are also available.
Local skate shop Undertow, from Machias, will set up products to sell at the park.
The Fourth Annual Skate 4 Life August, 2024
The Fourth Annual Skate 4 Life Event at the Calais Skatepark. We had a great turn out! Being able to have a beginner and advanced division. Numerous giveaways and lots of laughs!
There were many local organizations present at the park to hand out informational material, swag, and to answer questions about mental health, substance abuse, and suicide prevention.
Go Skateboarding Day June, 2024
Our first co-host event with Jo's Diner & Pizzeria. Jo's Diner & Pizzeria has supported the Brendan Leddy Memorial Fund since day one. We cannot thank them enough for their support!
Friday, June 21st for a “Go Skateboarding Day” celebration.
Pizza party at Jo’s Diner in downtown Calais from 2:30-3:30pm. Free pizza and drinks for all skaters + parents.
From 4pm-6pm join us at the Calais Skatepark for a good ole skate session with music, snacks and giveaways.

The 3rd Annual Brendan Leddy Memorial Jam.
An action sports jam at the Calais Skatepark including Skateboarding, BMX, Scootering, and Rollerblades. Prizes and awards for the winners - Free to enter and all skill levels are welcome!

Second Annual Skate trip April, 2024
The 2nd Annual “Bath Skatepark Trip” was a big success. 15 kids traveled with the Brendan Leddy Memorial Fund down to Bath Maine for an all expenses paid skate trip.
We met up with 2 more members of the Brendan Leddy Memorial Fund and 4 more youth skaters in Bath.
Huge thank you to Jo’s Diner, Hardwickes, St. Croix Regional Technical Center and North Street Circle K for donating towards this trip.
Halloween Jam October, 2023
Halloween Jam. This event hosted a pizza party, lots of candy, youth skate lessons and a place for members of our skate community to have one last jam of the year.

The first Matt Doten Memorial Jam - Calais Skatepark. This event was to honor our fallen committee member “Matt Doten”. All action sports jam, concessions, bounce house, and youth skate lessons.
Skate for Life August, 2023
The Third Annual Skate 4 Life Event at the Calais Skatepark. Big raffle and lots of giveaways. All action sports jam, youth skateboarding lessons and concessions. Many local organizations were present at the park to hand out informational material, swag, and to answer questions about how they support the foundations mission on mental health awareness.
Brendan Leddy Memorial Jam June, 2023
Brendan Leddy Memorial Jam (Originally Remembrance Jam) This event includes an action sports jam including Skateboarding, BMX, Scootering, and Rollerblades. The Blue Devil Fund who has supported us through our entire journey showed up with a big check!
Happy Earth Day April, 2023
Thomas Dicenzo Athletic Complex - Earth Day Clean Up . We joined forces with Pack 132 "Bear Den" to complete a trash pickup to help keep the Athletic Complex clean, and safe!
Youth Skatepark Trip April, 2023
Our First Trip! 4 adults and 10 members of the youth skateboarding community took two buses on a 500 mile all expenses paid trip to Bath Indoor Skatepark. This trip was so important to us, and to them - as we have long winters here in Maine.
Second Annual Harvest Jam October, 2022
Calais Skatepark - Second Annual Harvest Jam. At this event we hosted a “most stoked” All Action Sports Jam. BMX/Scooter Riders, Rollerbladers, and Skateboarders were among our winners!
Second Annual Skate4Life August, 2022
Calais Skatepark - Second Annual Skate4Life Event. This event built on our original Skate4Life Event. This time adding a BMX Demo and Free Youth Skateboarding Lessons. Many organizations offering information on Veteran Resources, Substance Recovery, Mental Health and Suicide Awareness were present.
Remembrance Jam June, 2022
Calais Skatepark - Remembrance Jam. This event was a celebration of the completion of a mini ramp we funded for the Calais Skatepark - The Brendan M. Leddy Memorial Ramp. At this event we also presented a new memorial plaque in honor of our fallen members.
Harvest Jam October, 2021
Calais Skatepark - Harvest Fest Skatepark Jam. This event included a Skateboarding Competition, and lots of giveaways for a ramp fundraiser for Calais Skatepark.
Skate4Life August, 2021
Calais Skatepark - The First Skate 4 Life Event. This event included a Skateboarding Competition, BMX and Scooter Jam. Resources on site for Suicide Awareness, Military Veterans, Mental Health, Substance Abuse and many more.
Scholarship Event April, 2021
Calais Skatepark - This was our first event. We surprised both scholarship finalist with an all expenses paid trip to camp Woodward 2021.
